FAMILY SESSION: Pop of RED

The colors of Fall came LATE this year...

as in, REEEEAAAALLLLYYY late...

In years past, the leaves are usually shifting to yellows and oranges right around the 3rd week of October...AND that is typically when families scramble to squeeze in family pictures...

no exception this year...

So much so, that the next 3 families that I'll be posting/blogging about were on my wait list...my spots this year filled up with 2 hours and there were a couple handfuls of my year after year families that didn't get in...

some chose to wait until Spring to see me, due to the drastic drop in temperatures...
but there were a few that wanted to brave the cold...right into November...

as a reward, it seems the trees decided to burst their color for them!

We were ecstatic with the color...albeit, the ground was rather saturated (if you remember the downpours we had before the snow)

Regardless, we used every bit of color we could find to our advantage!

It's always a joy to watch kiddos grow & mature each year...they even remembered my "tricks" which kept me on my toes! It gets me excited to find new ways to make it a FUN experience all around.

Family is meant to be cherished as well as something that you work for...each person is unique and the dynamics change with each new member...

It takes the patience and protectiveness of a Father...the gentleness and encouragement of a mother...the obedience and compassion of children...all working together...knowing that their family unit is special and WORTH the effort!

I believe I'm rather reflective today as we approach Thanksgiving day...

a time to be thankful for ALL the gift we've been given!!!

Family being one of the BEST!
