InHOME LIFESTYLE: Natural Baby Girl...

I find it incredibly appropriate that my last session of the season...the last gallery to be delivered...is an InHome Lifestyle session...

It's a story...a celebration...a beautiful HAPPY!

It's what this "Job" is to me anyway...and I have much more to share on that in the coming weeks...sooo many more "words" to share...

However, this session was all about this baby girl...the joy to her mommy & daddy's hearts...

Her whole hand only just fits around daddy's finger...she won't stay this tiny for long...

Such a precious gift...of her, of time, of memories...

I loved the natural simplicity of it all...and such a strong focus on what matters most...

What a beautiful and gentle reminder of the gift of new life and being in the moment!

Happy Merry Everything to this lovely family!

SENIOR SESSION: Adam CO 2019

There were gusts of 30mph winds but we were bound and determined to get Adam's Senior Session in this season.

Baseball is his sport of choice and therefore, we couldn't put it off until Spring...

So, despite the wind and dropping temps, we faced the challenge like champs...

Adam is pretty easy-going, so it actually wasn't all that difficult...we just had to maneuver into different locations and dodge wind tunnels the best we could...

He's casual and friendly and his smile was natural...even now, thinking back, a smile comes to my face thinking of his kind compliance and "roll with the punches" attitude.

Daylight savings put a bit of a time constraint on our natural lighting availability...so we worked quickly and efficiently...and had quite a few laughs along the way.

Adam was my last official Senior Session of 2018...and it was a pleasure!

I still have a couple handfuls of Class of 2019 Seniors squeezing easily into my early Spring calendar so that we can get their galleries finished in time for grad parties and graduation invites!

Be sure to contact me if you'd like to be considered first on my contact list for when the weather changes in March for a Class of 2019 Senior Session!

FAMILY SESSION: Last family session of the season!

We almost didn't make it...

Friends, this was my last Regular Family Session for the season!!!

It was dark, the leaves were coming down and we weren't sure whether the weather (say that 10 times fast) was going to hold out...

But, when we go for it...we GO FOR IT...

no matter that daylight savings had scooped up our evening hours...no matter that rain was in the forecast and the sun was barely visible...

Momma had her little girlies dressed to the nines and the mums were shining!!!

It's more about the memory than it is about the "perfect picture"...

I've said it before and I'll keep saying it...it's about the story...

it's remembering peek-a-boo...and throwing leaves...

it's about laughing at the fact that "we're in this crazy together"

it's about climbing and jumping and hugging and twirling...

it's about remembering to be thankful for the little things because the little things are actually the BIGGEST things...

This little family "gets it"...they hang tightly to each other and loosely to a ridiculous idea of "perfection"...and the funny thing is...it turns out looking like perfection anyway...

I suppose it depends on your perception...

They've got on the "right glasses" because their patience and compassion...their joy and tenderness...their excitement and smiles have been taught in little life lessons along the way to their growing daughters...

Happy Thanksgiving friends...we have MUCH for which to be thankful!

FAMILY SESSION: The ALL GIRLS charge

There is always a soft spot in my heart for dads of daughters...

I watch my own husband with my daughters...I watch how they feel secure, how they want his approval and advice...I see how they hang on him and want him to play games, take them out, spend TIME with them...and he obliges, because he KNOWS that the gift of time and full attention will reap a huge "harvest" in their hearts...

Dads have a most incredible roles for young girls...

(please don't take that to mean that single moms aren't important...I don't take that lightly...I'm just giving my heart perceptions from my own experiences both past & present)

These littles adore both their mommy and daddy...but, there is a special relationship with each of them...

Dad is the protector...he will be the one that they will measure everyone else up to...he will be the one that will have a large impact on their confidence and whether they will choose to take risks, because they know Dad will be there to guide them...

I'm not the knower of all things...but, I've had a fair share of life experiences that have taught me a little bit about relationships and I can already tell that these girlies have a pretty awesome daddy...AND mommy!  They are happy, adventurous, compassionate, thoughtful, generous...they know their boundaries and feel safe within them...

It's always a joy to meet up with them...and even with the freezing cold and rain the night before our session, they were ALL IN...

***and even followed me over to Starbucks so they could treat me to a warm drink!!! I'm definitely spoiled***
