PUMPKIN

My dad used to call me "Pumpkin" when I was little...

It still makes me smile when it sometimes slips out when we're together...or when I hear him call my daughters by the same affectionate name...

Little girls have a way of becoming their parents little pumpkins :)  I thought it so appropriate that this momma brought along a "pumpkin" for our session time...

We did a lot of rolling and running and picking flowers...

it's what "lil' pumpkins" do...

Remember Summer?

Fall is almost over...

I still kind of think as November as "fall-ish" but the reality is, it's cold in Ohio...

The sun only comes out a little bit and though we have the most amazing colors, they are swiftly carried away by the wind within a week or two...

Ahhh...remember those days of flip flops and sunshine...

no jackets or hot cocoa to keep your insides warm...

just the refreshing breezes blowing, while you bask in the sun...

This was a first time meeting with this family...big sister and the twins stole the show, but I'm not sure anyone minded :)

Beautiful color choices by mom to showcase a lovely summer afternoon..

He's gonna be a big brother!

I met them about 4 years ago...

We got redistricted and my older girls were heading off to school full time...

I still had my baby girl at home, but standing at the bus stop wasn't easy...

watching...
hoping...
praying...

that the adult on the end of that bus will pour as much love into your child as you do...
that they will model integrity, patience, modesty, confidence...

I don't worry about reading, writing and math as much as I do that my children encounter authority figures that build into them...model character and strength...

I know...it's a tall order to fill...

and I've been blessed...

beyond measure...

She was my middle girl's teacher...

my sweet middle girl who cringes at confrontation & conflict...the one who is a peacemaker...the one that tends to be more introverted and quiet...and yet, really has so much to say...

she needed someone (unlike her mother) that would calmly guide her and encourage her to use her voice...

It was a wonderful year...

and my Peanut still talks about her...

and I got to see her become a mommy herself...

and now her little boy will be a big brother...

He's their buddy...
their little man...

He brings laughter and joy...the center of their little world...

and a new one will now be privileged to join them...

Congratulations!!!

A Daughter's Love

I hope all my kind clients will forgive me for being so late in my blogging...it's the part that I often love the most, but find during this fall season that it gets put on the back burner...

therefore, my sneak peeks have to suffice for awhile until I have a bit more "free" time so that I brag on all these wonderful people with whom I meet and get to spend time.

This family are relatives to another family I had met just a bit earlier in the year...it is remarkable to see just how much joy a child can bring...though, I suppose it's not really remarkable...it's just truth...

it matters not whether they are a boy or girl, love sports or the arts, are healthy or have challenges..

the fact that that child is unique...noone else on earth just like them...

okay...

so maybe it is remarkable...

it's amazing and true...

and very evident through these images that I hope you'll enjoy...

Wonder...life with 3 girls

Time flies when you're having fun...

or more precisely, when you have a houseful of princesses and they twirl and do gymnastics while you try to do laundry and fix dinner...and then they giggle and want you to watch them, or help them put on their "pretty" shoes, and so you set garbage can down that you were carrying out to the driveway, brush a few stray hairs out of their eyes, buckle the shoes...

and wonder...

how did we get here already?  how is my oldest in school and my youngest already running & keeping up with the older two?

didn't I just bring them home in baby blankets and a brand new car seat last week?

I've watched these girls grow before my "computer screen" :)  I remember when middle girl was just a toddler...and here we are, almost all grown up, with a new baby sis!

They each have a style all their own...and the dynamics between the three of them is interesting to watch...one can be mothering, the other gets them all to laugh, and yet another finds safety in being close to her sisters...

It's as sweet bond...

I'm just reminded again, how much I enjoy time spent with such lovely families!!!
