SPECIAL EVENT: Picnic Celebration

I met her when her granddaughter was born years ago...

Her heart is so large, she has so much to give and it never seems to empty...she just keeps giving more and more of that love away...

I have stepped away from wedding photography, however, this event was a little different.  The ceremony was held earlier in the week and this was just a small celebration...a time for all the grandchildren to play a special part...dress up...carry flowers...have a special "job"...

And though this now blended family has added more to their crew, it just means that there is more love to go around...

I was nervous as the week progressed because rain seemed to pound the days prior..but that Saturday, the sun shone through with the most perfect weather imaginable.

What a precious sight to see everyone encouraging and loving on this sweet couple.

It was a privilege to get a few details, but to focus in on relationships and the new bonds that will be formed with this union.

Congratulations Kathy & Gregg!

Dave Fox Design Columbus, Ohio

My heart is in family photography...

I'm all about the meaningful, HAPPY and memorable moments...

I love to also single out those seniors that are embarking on adulthood...it's not the "ending" but the new beginning for them...

However, there are sometimes where I'm invited to an "event"...and I get to be a silent spectator...

I truly love these opportunities because it not only "mixes things up" just a bit...but, I am afforded this incredible chance to mingle with adults and people watch on a grander scale!

I love the diversity, the creativity, the uniqueness that each event brings...

from professional meetings to company golf outings to grand openings...

I relish in the challenge to tell the story of the day...to capture the details that make a corporation SHINE!

Dave Fox of Columbus, Ohio does just that...

I was inspired by their showroom...their attention to detail...the way they made their customers feel...

It was an evening to remember!

Baptism 2015

The application that our church holds for the term or action of Baptism is "an outward picture of an inward experience."

No matter your religious affiliation, it truly is a beautiful event and I look forward to it every year.

The beach is filled with kids and families and a boatload of HAPPY!

Even kayakers paddled up to watch!

A lot of singing and worship takes place with people that just want to include and welcome anyone that happens to stroll along!  You don't have to be a person being baptized to feel included...it's just a big ole party or family...and can I tell you, it's so nice to belong!

After the baptisms, my family took off for Michigan, so it's taken awhile to get a sampling of this incredible event...Here are just a few snapshots from the event...at the end you can watch the slideshow/video presentation too!

My Life Group Girls

I can't believe I didn't blog about this...I think I posted the video on Facebook but I never blogged about it here!!!

For those that don't know, I lead a middle school life group at our church.  The girls have come for 2 years now, every other week to my home...we sometimes play games, do crafts, but often just sit and talk about life...we went through a book this year and the girls gleaned some incredible insight (along with me!) about WHO they are and how much they are valued by the One that created them...

We had an amazing year and since I'm also a "photographer"...the book title felt very appropriate and thus lent itself to an obvious photo shoot at the end...

It was AMAZINGLY fun...so much so, that we actually did it TWICE just to be sure that everyone could attend...and it propelled an idea in me...along with that love that has blossomed for this age group...just the idea that in this age of instagram and selfies...they are still girls that love to pretend and get glamorous or even silly...

We combined all that into our times together and I thought it would be fun to offer that opportunity to other Tweens too...what a memory and fun time for a group of besties to enjoy one another and showcase their personalities...

Check out the TWEEN session on the investment page for more information
