Grandpa & his girls

We talked so much prior to meeting that I felt like we were long lost friends already...
See...what happens when you have 4 kids, all in sports, all in school...a dashing husband who has travel & work...a sweet mom tries so hard to find just ONE little iota of time when EVERYONE can be together...and doggone it, it's HARD!
So...Shawna and I just kept talking and emailing and texting and talking some more...changing a time here, a date there, a different location..but by golly, we did it!!!
I could tell by our conversations that these moments together with her family were something that she'd been wanting for awhile....It's hard to gather everyone together, in one place...kids grow up so fast and get involved in so many things and though sibling ties are strong, when you throw friends and sports and schoolwork into the mix, you are often hard pressed to find time to just BE with each other...
And so, that's what we aimed for...time for fun and laughter and just BEing...
I'm always amazed at the inner workings of family units...the dynamics that are brought to the table by dad, mom, oldest, middle, babies...I had such an incredible time just listening to them...watching them...I found similar ties between them and yet, each individual had a confidence in and of themselves...
It's a rock solid family...and that my friends, makes my heart sing...
The stories of how mom & dad met, the growing up on a farm, soccer, school work...these are more were all spilled whilst we walked around the homestead...I loved the little moments and the closeness that was evident....
Here are just a few pics for the blog, but be sure to check out facebook to see more candids later this evening :)
Thank you so much for being determined to get these pictures...I think your family is beautiful!!! I hope you will be able to cherish these for many years to come!!!
