Another Year...

The following adorable face you see will look familiar...

Well, it should look familiar if you've come across this blog often enough...

She's actually the face that is smiling at you at the top of the page!

It was so much fun to meet up again and to see how much she's grown.  Although she's grown a bit taller and learned new things...she's still her daddy's little girl.  I loved watching how they played and interacted with each other.  He had her giggling and goofin' like crazy!

Here's a snippet of our afternoon together:

A Family Is Forever

They all share something in common...

besides their last name...

Each family member has a ring...and engraved inside the ring it says, "A Family is Forever".

It was the first thing Pamela mentioned to me when we met...if I were going to work up any pages or create any storyboards or even "tell their story"...could I include their family motto?

I think it's incredible...there is nothing that bonds like family.  And when it is so evident that family relationships are held in such high regard...well...it just makes my heart sing.

I had a wonderful afternoon with this "all girl" (well, except for dad of course) family...They were such good sports about trying some crazy antics with my frame...

I'm starting off with their rings...showing you their beautiful faces...and then a little slideshow of more faves...

Please be sure to hop over to my facebook album where I've posted some pages & storyboards as well...

Corey - Senior Photos

Corey has a great future ahead of him!  His older brother just joined the military...his younger brother...well, his younger brother is only 1 year old and adores him.  Corey is in the middle, which, if you want to stereotype it out: he's easy going, laid back, intelligent and doesn't mind hangin' out with his family.

We had fun on our afternoon shoot...he plays guitar, has an awesome truck and is looking forward to finishing up his senior year of high school!

I just wanted to post a couple of the shots that seemed to capture his personality...and some, well, you'll understand as you look through when I say, "there are times he seems wiser than his years"...

Here's just a little video slideshow of some of my other favorites...

Ra-Ra-Ra Yay Team!

I think Gail has been one of my biggest cheerleaders when it comes to photography.  I have learned to not be surprised when I get another email in my inbox stating, "HI there...I"m a friend of Gail's...she told me about you!"

As we made plans to meet again this fall for a family photo session and a custom made christmas card, I didn't find it difficult to remember back to our days at the 'ville...with her husband as a soccer star...my trip to her home over the summer and visits with her family...

It was so fun to meet up with her again...her boys were ready for the "drill" and smiles were in abundance.  I really appreciate how Gail tends to "see" moments as I do...so the images that both of us like the most are the spontaneous, candid, emotion filled ones...

I hope you'll enjoy them as well...here are just a few...

I was overwhelmed with all the images that I could make into pages for her family...
Be sure to check out the facebook page to see even more photos!!!
Feel free to watch their slideshow too...

Be-Jeweled

I LOVE fall colors...pretty much everything about them...I like the way they blend together and then how some of them just pop!  I like that the reds are deep, not necessarily bright, but deep...the greens settle down from their springy color to that muted hunter...it makes the trees seem wise and as if they have stories to tell.

I'm thankful that the "Artist" had the idea to add so much color and radiance to this season.  I love to be out in it and to soak up those last warm rays of sun.

I met Deb for the first time while standing at the entrance of Inniswood.  It's a beautiful place to witness all those colors I just mentioned...and Deb understood that as well...she consciously chose her family's attire and it paid off...

She loves jewel tones...the muted ones...the ones that seem to add that edge, and those that seem solid and foundational.  Is it crazy that I talk about colors like people?  Maybe being a bit "artsy" myself, I "feel" with regards to colors...I love how her husband wore the solid brown and she was in the muted hunter green...her daughter popped in jewel toned burgundy and her son brought the warmth of the cream...

And each with their own color...popped their own personality!  You'll see as little miss burgundy added her spunk...mr. cream added his laidback flair...dad and mom laid the foundation with the strength of the brown and green...

Deb and her husband have been married 16 years!  I was inspired by their not just their commitment to each other, but by the evidence of their love...in their family...in their children...for each other...

Here are just a few of the images that I was able to capture for them...Thank you Deb for allowing me the opportunity to meet your family and have such a fun time getting a glimpse into your life!  Hope you enjoy!

I had to add this one in here...because, again, personalities ROCK!

Memories...

Everyone has in their mind what they envision for their family pictures...those that will hang on the wall, those that capture personality, images that make you look GOOD!

When young ones enter into the equation, there is a level of trepidation when embarking upon a family photo session...moms are sometimes nervous, dads often want to know the score of the game that they are missing, and if little ones are under 2...well, all sorts of things are going through their little minds...partiularly, how messy can I get?

Tiffany, the mom in these next photos, did not exude any of the above mentioned "stereotypes"...She was there for the FUN!  She knows her kiddos, she adores her husband...and to ask her if she thought she'd even have a "less than stellar" image...no way!  Look at those babies...ADORABLE...you couldn't TAKE a bad one if you asked her!

And I LOVED HER for it...Her little boy was all for the jumping and especially hanging with his daddy...her sweet little girl has an angel face...

Here are just a few of my favorites...

Yellow Jackets Rule!

Okay...so please understand that I'm not in favor of stingers and little flying wasps...

Moreso, I'm a fan of my alma mater...Cedarville YellowJackets!

When I first met Michael, I asked what EVERY person asks a senior, "So, where are you heading after graduation?"

When he replied that he'd be heading over to the 'Ville...well, I was beyond excited and began to do something that I NEVER do ...  I just started talking up a storm about CAB, and traveling groups, and dorm life, and my life long friends, and it's where I met my husband, and on and on and on...It's a wonder I even remembered that big ole piece of equipment strapped around my neck!

Apparantly, my time spent in college was WELL worth it...

Hear that DAD!  WELL WORTH IT!

I am so excited that Michael has plans to attend Cedarville University in the Fall...And, we had a great morning together taking his senior photos...They welcomed me out to their home, where I fell in love with their backyard and all the beautiful landscapes...It was the perfect place!

Here are a few of my favorites:
