SENIOR SESSION: Ashley

She came bounding up the stairs to the piano where I was waiting...

Ashley has a lot to juggle with regards to school, work, activities, rowing, songwriting, lessons...

and she does it with this adorable smile on her face...

I've got to believe she has bad days...everyone does right???  However, if that is the case, I don't think you'd ever know it while interacting with her...

It was another warm Indian summer type day and I watched her take two steps at a time with a different shoe on each foot.

Ashley is bubbly and happy and genuine...she is instantly engaged in conversation...like, the conversation where she's not thinking about what she's going to say next, but actually tuned into your words and working to put herself in your shoes. She doesn't mind mix-matched or otherwise...I think she's as authentic as they come :)

So many facets to this girl's personality and I loved how she planned it all out.

Our time started with the piano, moved to fields of flowers and then off to the docks...I couldn't believe this tiny girl would be able to handle the big oars, but I should not have been surprised...

She seemingly meets challenges head on...and so, when I saw her lift those things right over her head without blinking an eye...well, I just nodded my head and kept walking after her...

She's calm and collected and takes things in stride, too...

like when her dog decided to jump into the water head first before we had finished our "ideas"...

All in all, it was a splendid evening...and an incredible joy to meet her!

Congratulations Ashley!  I can't wait to see what lies ahead for you!
