SENIOR SESSION: Regan CO2020

We've been in school here in Olentangy District for a full 3 weeks now (and a couple days)...

THREE FULL WEEKS INTO SENIOR YEAR...

The LAST first football game...
The LAST first tennis match...
The LAST first pep rally of the year...
The LAST Labor Day celebration with everyone home for our family...

I'm storing these moments in my heart...not because I'm sad, or even because I dread the future...

rather, I'm incredibly excited about the future...the BEST is still yet to come...and I know this from experience...but, I am one that struggles with being IN the moment...

I'm a "worrier" by nature...I'm typically in a state of considering worst case scenarios and imagining situations instead of actually SEEing the reality in front of me...

but I'm learning...

I'm making the conscious effort to let the imperfections roll off my back...to celebrate the quirky, and even the mundane...

I'm learning that life is a series of dots connected to one another...and each dot has a special meaning and connection to the next one in the journey...

I met Regan back when she was in Middle School...

in some ways it feels like it was ages ago...and other times, I can hear the after school stories from "junior high adventures" echoing in my ears...

Regan is comfortable in her own skin...she's learning to not sweat the small stuff and to enjoy the moments too...

I learn so much from the people I am privileged to encounter through photography...

Congratulations Regan...on a fabulous Senior year and ALL that is still yet to come...
