FAMILY SESSION: POPS of Yellow

It's been a long while that I've known this family...I've watched them add their little girl and I remember well the early days of their family of 3 and the little guy's love for dinosaurs!

Children are not easily fooled...they tap into the hearts of people almost immediately...and that actually helps me gauge the dynamics of each family that I meet...

Every personality is different...they come in all shapes and sizes: extroverted, shy, silly, cautious, adventurous, soft-spoken...

and while those character qualities are helpful in noticing in order to pull out the personalities...I am more interested in how the relationships work...the bonds I can sense, the "essence" of the family unit...

When you come upon this family you recognize immediately that each heart is respected...Dad & Mom have the respect of their littles...and it's been something in which they've cultivated by modeling it to them...it is evident that there is deep love and honor towards each other...

ideas are celebrated, time is cherished, Mom and Dad are honored, and children are praised...boundaries have been given lovingly, so that security is felt and adventures can take place in those safe spots...

It makes my heart so happy to witness committed moms and dads...

who value the meaning of FAMILY...

it's not easy putting multiple, crazily unique thinkers into one household...and to continually serve one another, to choose self-LESS behaviors while still modeling integrity, obedience and parameters...

They made me smile the entire time...and the smiles you see here are genuine...it's just them living out the life they love together!
