SENIOR SESSION: Katelin CO2020

In just a few short weeks the sunflowers have closed their petals...leaves are on the brink of  changing their colors...and graduation continues to loom closer and closer...

The light continues to change...the temperatures fluctuate...and the school work gets a bit more intense...

I suppose it's a fact of life...

CHANGE...

In some ways, I welcome it...I am one that bores easily (unless I'm into a REALLY great book!)...I was the teacher that constantly changed her classroom around...I'm the mom that wants to move furniture or shift the cupboards...I'm on the look out for new ways to record thoughts in fun journals or colored post it notes for calendars...

there is a sweet pleasure in ever-so-slightly tweaking things in a new direction...

at the same time, BIG changes can take some getting used to...and if I'm truly honest with myself, I tend to shy away from BIG change...avoidance, denial, procrastination...

the closer we get to graduation, however, the more and more I become aware of the changes that will be required of my family...and of my senior :)

There is so much excitement and anticipation...that I often put the thought of that "change" on the back-burner...

"I'll think about it when the time comes"
...perhaps that's my defense mechanism to get through the hectic time of life...

but the fact remains...
change is coming...

I'm thankful for the subtle reminders...that let me know that beauty can come with change...even BIG change...

Katelin is graceful and thoughtful as she journeys this Senior year...

she is conscious, aware, introspective as the days stretch before her...

My time with these Seniors although is FUN and filled with celebration...I know that they are intimately aware of what this time means in their life...

Katelin has a maturity and poise that will carry her into the future...
onto a beautiful path where all those subtleties will impact the people with whom she comes in contact...

Congratulations Katelin...on an amazing senior year adventure!
