FAMILY SESSION: Energetic Little Man

I think I will always remember this session...

It started off because it was the most perfect weather day I can ever remember...temperature, humidity, lighting...it was fantastic..and THEN to have the opportunity to meet up with this little family...

Their little man was not only full of energy, but with SMILES as well. I mean, you can just "hear" his giggle while scrolling through the images...

But, let me tell you something else about this family...

well...let me back up a bit...

You all know that I tend to rely a bit more on the right side of my brain than I do my left...I think for years (think elementary through high school) I relied heavily on my left side...I was the studious, mousy, quiet, don't make waves person (don't laugh)...I had a desire for the arts, but I was too nervous and really put all my energies into studies...

Fast forward a few years into college and meeting my future husband who encouraged a new side of me...this crazy, creative energy...and being the extremist that I can sometimes be...I went at it full force.

This "dramatic" exertion sometimes lands me in 'not so great' situations because of organization or even "remembering things"...

which leads me to this session...

Apparently, even though they had come completely prepared with check written and at the ready when I arrived...somewhere along the line, between sticking my keys in some unknown pocket and balancing things on my head, the check fell out on the grounds. 

The ridiculous thing was that I didn't notice...this goes to show you how incredibly present I am in my sessions...I get laughing and talking and so, so LOVE being with the incredible people that come across my pathway, that the "business stuff" can sometimes throw me for a loop.

It wasn't until THREE DAYS LATER that someone found the check, called my clients, who in turn called me to let me know, because I was STILL unaware...This gracious, wonderful, honest family, who acted with integrity blessed my heart immensely. 

Sometimes with all the news on TV and social media platforms, it's easy to feel as though mankind is just a pitiful mess all over...and then you get these bright sunbeams...where you realize that even though it should be the norm & isn't necessarily that way in our world, there ARE still people out there that choose right over easy...choose commitment over comfort...

I'm excited to get their gallery to them because I have a feeling it's going to make them smile from ear to ear...they are amazing in my book and I have no doubt, with the character qualities they displayed during and after our session, that they are raising an incredible little boy as well!
