SENIOR SESSION: Kody

School started Wednesday for our district...

I blogged about it HERE

Seniors are starting their "last" first days of high school...

Do you ever try to remember back to that time?

I'm thankful for the memories, but I'm so, so grateful that I recognized that they weren't the BEST days of my life...The best days were yet to come...

don't get me wrong, I had fun and enjoyed aspects of school...

but, what I "took away" from those years was the beginnings of courage, of risk taking, of realizing that I had the ability to do more than I originally thought I was capable of...

those high school years were a training ground of sorts...

Kody already finished his training ground and left for a year round college training down in Florida about the same time as his siblings all headed to their respective schools...He's the oldest of the bunch and I'm positive that they are watching his every move...

I don't think they will be disappointed...

He has learned honor and respect...he discovered the "who" of himself and doesn't let anyone else tell him otherwise...and he isn't afraid to share himself with those that he loves dearly...and his family knows this...his younger siblings admire this...

It was a fun evening and we raced the thundering clouds and lightning in the sky to grab a few last pictures with his family before he finished his packing for the next big journey!

congrats Kody!
