FAMILY SESSION: Happy Smiles

For some reason, this day was so cold...
Although, I suppose that I expected that type of weather back in the fall, as opposed to April...

I don't want to complain...I choose to live in the midwest and this is just what it is...

at the same time, I suppose we've earned the right to gripe a little bit when all we truly want is to be able to put away the winter boots and coats....I'm happy to exchange them for galoshes and umbrellas...as long as the temperature is above 55!

But I digress...

it was cold this day for this little munchkin...

Doesn't it amaze you the ability little ones have to understand fully what you are communicating to them, regardless of whether they can articulate a verbal response or not...?

Our brains are so intricate...they have the capability to learn and adapt so quickly...

I think of the fact that we are knit together...every little cell and DNA molecule has to come together a certain way, and they are working together to create a unique human being...more unique than a snowflake that scientists would ooh and ahh over...

She was a bundle of curiosity and energy on this blustery day...and the smiles of her parents motivated her laughter...her security...her confidence to explore...

Just her BEing changed life forever for the mom and dad that birthed her...

and I know they wouldn't give that up for the world!
