FAMILY SESSION: Totem poles and silly faces

This session was filled with laughing and twirling and jumping and playing...

In all sessions, my first "checkpoint" is to get the "safe shots"...

These are the ones where everyone is looking at the camera, because we all know that Grandma wants that one...it's a generation thing and there is something lovely about seeing everyone's eyes and happy smiles...

Sometimes the "safe shots" take awhile to get...especially with littles and the distraction of squirrels and dogs and leaves and crazy camera lady that talks nonstop about ridiculous things...whew!

However, once we get those things out of the way, the remainder of our session time can be spent PLAYING and having fun...

this is where the twirling comes in...where the tickles and tackles come into play...where the littles start asking to make silly faces and wanting to see them on the back of my camera...

This sweet clan had a vision of them heads all in a line...just for fun...and why not?

They understand that it's not just about the studio-esque pics, but about capturing the REAL and the relationship and the STORY of this chapter in life!

I always look forward to seeing them...with their happy grins and that twinkle behind their eyes...

Mom and Dad are genuinely in love and it shows no only when they are together, but how they team parent with their kids too...

I've said it before, and I'll say it again...

I'm sooooooo privileged to serve families like these!!!
