SNAPSHOP/MENTORING: before and after

Have YOU ever considered a mentoring session to learn your camera?

Perhaps you have a SWEET DSLR camera...

and you just KNEW that if you bought this camera, it was going to change your family photos FOR.EV.ER!!!

That thing is attached to your hip and it's at every event, sporting game and childhood party...you take pictures of your nieces & nephews...you've offered to take pictures of your neighbors...

In essence, YOU LOVE PHOTOGRAPHY!!!

But, somehow...in between all that incredible excitement and the awesome equipment, there is still some "know-how" that keeps you from getting the photos that you envision...

You feel like those "Nailed It" posts on Pinterest....

You know what it's "supposed" to look like...but it's just not quite there...

You may have focusing issues, or it's over-exposed, or skin is either glowing, grey or green...

And you just aren't sure what to do...

Nicole arrived at that dilemma...

Her camera is RED...as in, it's a SUPER COOL red Nikon DSLR...

she even has fancy lenses...but, she was frustrated because her image quality was not quite stellar!

She and I met up about a week ago and spent some time one on one...going through some technical aspects of her specific camera...After a few tweaks here and there and after viewing her images, I was able to diagnose some issues pretty quickly, so we got to work right away...

Two hours later, she walked out of my home empowered and excited to "reshoot" her kiddos first day of school events and so much more...

She recently sent me one of those "before" shots that we had viewed together...and along with it she sent a more recent shot, using the information we worked on during our mentoring session...

See if YOU can tell the difference :)

Right off I see corrected issues in-camera:
exposure
white balance
focus

AND we even had time to go over some basic photoshop skills so that her images have boosted contrast and eye-appeal!

Nicole, you did a FANTASTIC job and I can't wait to see the vacation pictures soon!
