I met them about 4 years ago...
We got redistricted and my older girls were heading off to school full time...
I still had my baby girl at home, but standing at the bus stop wasn't easy...
watching...
hoping...
praying...
that the adult on the end of that bus will pour as much love into your child as you do...
that they will model integrity, patience, modesty, confidence...
I don't worry about reading, writing and math as much as I do that my children encounter authority figures that build into them...model character and strength...
I know...it's a tall order to fill...
and I've been blessed...
beyond measure...
She was my middle girl's teacher...
my sweet middle girl who cringes at confrontation & conflict...the one who is a peacemaker...the one that tends to be more introverted and quiet...and yet, really has so much to say...
she needed someone (unlike her mother) that would calmly guide her and encourage her to use her voice...
It was a wonderful year...
and my Peanut still talks about her...
and I got to see her become a mommy herself...
and now her little boy will be a big brother...
He's their buddy...
their little man...
He brings laughter and joy...the center of their little world...
and a new one will now be privileged to join them...
Congratulations!!!
