FAMILY SESSION: Family of 5

They became a ready-made family and they journey it with grace and kindness...

This family has such JOY in them...they are a pleasure to be around..no pretense, no awkwardness or annoyance...rather, there is a genuine appreciation for everyone.

I've only had a couple interactions with them...and each time, I come away feeling so encouraged!

Big sisters dote on baby brother...they are gracious to their bonus dad, who in turn, cherishes their individuality...

Life is fleeting...and when one recognizes the gifts that are presented in each moment...there is JOY!

This family focuses on the present...living in the moment, giving grace, offering forgiveness, seeking to serve, finding all the HAPPY!

I'm truly blessed to have such amazing families that choose to allow me to tell their "stories"

FAMILY SESSION: Unexpected Meeting & Similarities...and making Dad laugh!

One thing that this job has taught me, is that there are more families/people out there similar to me than different...

If you watch the news, you'd think the world was an awful place to be and that everyone was out to get you...

And yet, I get to meet up with new families all the time...only to discover that our kids are the same ages, and we were both teachers, and they are avid readers, and dad "loves" family picture time (insert sarcastic eye roll because we all know that's not the case!)

But amidst these similarities therein lies a comradery...and you begin to realize that perhaps things aren't as all bad as media likes to portray...even more so, you find these sweet moments of HAPPY and connections are made...encouragement is spread...laughter eeks out...

the next thing you know, you feel like old friends and everyone is teasing and giggling...and we start walking back to the parking lot with happy hearts...

This family is one that genuinely enjoys one another...there is a transition that happens as the children get older...the parent/child relationship starts to change and it's this unique transformation from the physicality of parenting into parenting young adults...

They are handling this with grace and maturity...

Respect has already been established and so the progression is almost seamless...

I had a lovely time with them all...and I know you'll enjoy their last sneak peeks before their gallery is delivered...

SENIOR SESSION: Sierra CO2020

I've known this lovey for ages...lots of ages for her...because she's graduating this school year...

We sort of adopted her as our 4th daughter and I'm ever-so grateful for it!

She's a middle kid by birth order in her family, but she's more of an oldest in ours...on the outside she's happy-go-lucky, go with the flow, don't make waves kind of girl...

She's the easiest of friends, the kindest of hearts and the one that strives to bring a smile to everyone's face...

What others may not see, is that she feels deeply and thinks deeply about a lot of things...

She's incredibly strong, and sometimes she uses that strength to carry the weight of others' burdens because her compassion seems limitless...

I love this sweet girl...I love her spunk, her giggle and most of all her heart...

She will make her own way as she goes...and I pray that the friends that she meets, the ones that get a front row seat to her journey, will cherish her...will come alongside and let her soar...and always take a moment to see into the heart of this girl!

Love you Ser-bear...you are marvelous!

FAMILY SESSION: Rain to Sunshine

I've known them for awhile and I love them...

I love their candor, their spirit, their love for one another...
I love making dad laugh and all the girls giggle...

I love their silly and their shy...I love their goofy and serious...

They are in it for the long haul...for the ups and downs...for the happy and the sad...

Their home is a safe haven for their girlies and one that will stand the test of time...leaving a legacy of memories and moments...

When we first met up...the skies opened and it began to pour...

but I knew...

I knew that sort of thing didn't really phase them...

Their smiles still came out...and the silly and the laughing and the jumping on dad...

THESE ARE THE MOMENTS TO REMEMBER...

But, we did meet back up to ensure just a bit of sunshine in their session....

I think you'll enjoy...
