SENIOR SESSION: Emily S. CO2019

I love Emily's style...

I think at first glance, I noticed that she and I have very similar taste in clothing and colors...It's almost a vintage chic...

but more than just the outward appearance, I appreciated her natural approach to everything...

she may be a bit more reserved than "yours truly" (who can sometimes be a little much, I know...ahem) But, it's her insight, her calm, her inner confidence that was remarkable and lovely to witness.

Emily is thoughtful and introspective and feels deeply...people that are intrinsically reflective and attentive are beautiful...it's that inner heart that shines and disarms you immediately.

We had a lovely time celebrating Emily's Senior experience...and her bestie even joined her at the end... (another one of my #ctphotoseniors whom I adore!)

congratulations Emily...you are exquisite!

SENIOR SESSION: Amanda CO2019

I'm not sure where to start with this gal...

Amanda is intelligent, kind and a natural...

I like that she's always just WHO she is, no matter who is watching!

It takes confidence and being comfortable in one's own skin to be able to tread the waters of high school...and Amanda has done it with grace and grit :)

I've watched her stare down opponents on a tennis court...I've seen her hug friends that need some extra comfort...I've observed her leadership, her kindness, and her ability to be REAL no matter the situation!

She's got wit and a bit of competition in her :)
She's a friend to anyone...people recognize her loyalty, her dependability...

but most of all, Amanda doesn't pretend to be someone she isn't...

she's embraced all that she's created to be...I love her heart and her lovely charm...

There is no pretense with her...and that makes her all the more endearing!!!

congrats girlie...you are FABULOUS!

FAMILY SESSION: Absolutely IMPRESSED!

I've known them for awhile...

from newborn to elementary school...

And everytime I meet up with them...I'm utterly impressed...

I'm not exaggerating...

The respect and kindness that comes from their children (and THEM for that matter!)...

These sweet kiddos are thoughtful, gentle, and filled with spunk & personality too...

They blow me away with their maturity at this young, young age...

I'm sure they have their moments, although, I'll be honest, I can't even fathom it...

Big brother is insightful and cautious with his words...

Little sis plainly adores him, and yet has no problem take center stage when called upon...

I absolutely, genuinely LOVE being around them...

I think mommy and daddy need to spill the beans on how they have shepherded these tender hearts!!!

Enjoy...

FAMILY SESSION: Who's your favorite??

It's almost "expected" that if your children are younger...

as in, the throw in the air, tickle and play chase "age" kiddos...

then, family sessions are for YOU...

We sometimes think that when the children get older, that family photos either won't be as "cute" or they just aren't as important...

I would beg to differ at this statement...

I would even say, that it's all the MORE important when everyone gets older...

You see, when they are toddlers, preschoolers, elementary age...we take video upon video upon Instagram upon FB upon picture upon picture of them...

We plaster their sweet faces all over social media and stock up our iphone photos app...

however, once they reach teen years...all of a sudden, they aren't home as much...and those cute little videos aren't as plentiful...

What better way to ensure you HAVE photos of your older kids, than to have a family session...

a time when you PLAN to hang out together...and let the photographer capture ALL.THE.FACES.

This is also the time, that "said photographer" likes to put mom & dad on the spot and tell them, "Super!!!  now, look at your favorite kid!!"

This always throws everyone for a loop and inevitably gets everyone laughing...

and isn't THAT what you want to remember the most?

ALL.THE.HAPPY.

I met this family when Sis had her Senior pictures awhile back and we squeezed a quick family session in before that season ended...

Dad is a creative as well, and so I had the privilege of seeing his Album creation with images from the last session...

I can't wait to see what he does this time around too...
