FAMILY SESSION: Tyson steals the show!

I've had puppies in pictures before...

it "can" be a bit more challenging...

I don't necessarily "speak" dog, so getting them to look at the camera and making sure all the humans are in order as well...

it kinda puts an added dimension to the whole experience...

but, I'm not only a MOM..I'm a DOG mom too...

So I GET IT!

Our pups become our babies again...they are part of the family...

I had no qualms when this remarkable family wanted to add in TYSON THE WONDER PUP to their Family Session...

I've know the dad since college days...and to this day, when I see former classmates committed, with families of their own...with hearts and values that are striving to be like Jesus...well, I have a hard time keeping my happiness contained!!!

And so...

the adventure began...

They are a family of togetherness, laughter, wit, sincerity, honesty and they have a pursuit for excellence. They are an inspiration!

SENIOR SESSION: Addi CO2020

Addi just makes you smile...

She's gregarious and silly and an absolute GEM!

Her spontaneity left me speechless...because the HAPPY was contagious!  (keep scrolling and you'll see what I mean)

I met her older sister a few years back and I was thrilled to see them all again...

If there is one thing that I hope Addi realizes from her whole experience is just how incredibly special and beautiful that she is...inside and out! 

Just ADDI being ADDI makes eyes twinkle and hearts jump!

Congratulations Addi...you are outstanding!!!

SENIOR SESSION: Jordanne CO2020

It's no secret that Ohio weather has been a bit crazy here of late...

Most recently we've gone into HOT and HUMID in a matter of seconds...before that, we were dealing with flooding and the constant of rain all through the month of June!!!

This didn't phase Jordanne one bit...

We were only able to get ONE hour in of her session the first time around...the clouds were DARK and we could see the skies looming over us...

(photography is not only an amazing thing, because you can't tell from her images that we were dealing with potential rain at every turn...but, the fact that her smile and positive attitude NEVER LEFT US!)

This is the type of "go with the flow", perseverance, and tenacity needed to make things happen in this world...

She puts that heart and soul into all that she does...whether big or small...because she knows you don't change the world all at once, but with one life changed at a time!!! 

Congratulations Jordanne...you are an absolute JOY to be around!

FAMILY SESSION: over the years

I'm going to wax nostalgic on you for a minute...

Back when I began this photography business, I only "imagined" or "dreamed" of it funding my desire for the latest lenses and keeping my camera updated...

What I never fathomed was the part it would play for me as a person...and on my heart...

You know I'm a people person by nature...I don't necessarily struggle making acquaintances...in fact, my family knows that it's quite natural for me to make "life long" friends while on vacation, standing in lines...

As my business grew, I realized that these incredible clients were not just investing in photography, but they invested in ME...

They brought their parenting skills, their gifts of encouragement, their worldviews, their gentle criticisms, their whole selves to the session...

and I gleaned from it...

I've been grown, matured, stretched, and poured into, by these amazing families that not only value the STORY of pictures, but they've chosen to invest in ordinary ME...

We have this ONE life...We can be in it for ourselves 

OR

we can choose to live it well...to make a difference in the lives of those we come in contact...

My clients choose the latter...and for that I am eternally grateful!!! 

This family is one that has been with me from almost the beginning...they've blessed me 100X more than I could ever give to them...

They are a gift!
