FAMILY SESSION: The Contest Girlie :)

 I entered a photographer's contest last year...

just to improve my "craft" and to challenge myself...

there were lots of categories and such, but I tried to choose images that captured a memory for me...

One of the images that I chose happened to be a close up of the little ginger in these pictures...

She has a personality that she "LIVES OUT LOUD!" and it's contagious...

I have photographed their family for a few years now and have had the opportunity to watch these kiddos grow...

There is a comfort level...a "coming home" if you will, with families that come back each year...

I know it's an investment...I know it takes time & energy to get everyone dressed & out the door...I know that LIFE is just busy sometimes...

I totally get it...

and yet, I see these families, intentionally take a "time out"...they value a captured moment...they make it an activity and not a chore...they pour themselves into our short session time...we dance and sing and run and jump...

I'm not with them 24/7, so we try to squeeze every last drop of love and relational contact into the time we have together...because, they recognize that time doesn't stand still...

EXCEPT IN A PICTURE :)

They are passionate, joyful...their laughter is infectious...they love fiercely and demonstrate it in their actions & words with one another...

Love is a decision...choices made each day, in each moment...I am in awe of their intentional living...
