FAMILY SESSION: big red barn

As I was editing through their gallery, I kept thinking, "holy cow, they are going to cry when these boys become seniors in high school?"

I don't know why I think these random thoughts about other people's children...

but I do...

It is what it is...

Perhaps it's because I've had quite a few Senior Sessions lately and everyone keeps telling me that time goes by so fast...or maybe it's because my daughter is now a stinkin' 3 inches TALLER than me and I'm trying to remember what it felt like when I could carry her on my hip at the zoo...

I looked at these sweet faces and their big blue eyes...their littlest one still has a teeny bit left of that "baby" look to him...the cuddly kind...and then my imagination took off and they started morphing into these tall, athletic guys with uniforms and baseball caps before my very eyes...

and I got all sappy...

I look at pictures of my brother when we were kids and I actually remember the moments...and then I look at him (and myself) in real life now and whew...we kinda grew up...

They were kind enough to try a new location with me this time too...

Did I mention that I get rather distracted and sometimes bored with the same things all the time?

don't get me wrong, change does bring stress with it and there is comfort level when things are familiar...

however, it's been a few years with these guys and I knew I could "plop" them anywhere and get those grins and adventurous spirits to shine through no matter what...

It turned out that this big, red barn had lots to offer and I'm so glad we tried it!

I look forward to many years with this family...

although, I might end up crying too by the time they are seniors...

it is what it is...
