FAMILY SESSION: Unexpected Meeting & Similarities...and making Dad laugh!

One thing that this job has taught me, is that there are more families/people out there similar to me than different...

If you watch the news, you'd think the world was an awful place to be and that everyone was out to get you...

And yet, I get to meet up with new families all the time...only to discover that our kids are the same ages, and we were both teachers, and they are avid readers, and dad "loves" family picture time (insert sarcastic eye roll because we all know that's not the case!)

But amidst these similarities therein lies a comradery...and you begin to realize that perhaps things aren't as all bad as media likes to portray...even more so, you find these sweet moments of HAPPY and connections are made...encouragement is spread...laughter eeks out...

the next thing you know, you feel like old friends and everyone is teasing and giggling...and we start walking back to the parking lot with happy hearts...

This family is one that genuinely enjoys one another...there is a transition that happens as the children get older...the parent/child relationship starts to change and it's this unique transformation from the physicality of parenting into parenting young adults...

They are handling this with grace and maturity...

Respect has already been established and so the progression is almost seamless...

I had a lovely time with them all...and I know you'll enjoy their last sneak peeks before their gallery is delivered...
