FAMILY SESSION: Relational Tiers and a Happy Home

We ran into each other at Costco earlier this year...

It's what I love about community...it probably has something to do with my extroverted nature...I don't shy away from conversation...I am more often than not, energized from interactions...and so I look forward to unexpected occurrences...

We parked our carts and started chatting...topics ranged from parenting to college to vacations to finances...

This is what LIFE was meant to be like...sharing life with others...

There are definitely "tiers"...

you have acquaintances...people you can wave to...and then you move a step deeper, where you can be real and share a bit of the hard stuff too...

Further levels in, you find your best friends...the ones that come alongside and carry the burdens with you step by step...

Each 'tier' is important...and serves it's own unique purpose...

Carrie moves through those tiers with fluidity and ease...she, and her family, are ones that know the REAL and the HARD stuff...and consequently, also know the immeasurable HIGHs of life as well...

Because of this, she can BE herself and share life in any of those "tiers"...it's what makes her endearing and inspiring!

She's beautiful inside and out...and she is cherished by her husband and children.  Together they continue to instill the values and authenticity into their family...they struggle together, with the help of others when needed...and they learn to be content in whatever circumstances are thrown their way...and they CELEBRATE big!!

I LOVE...absolutely LOVE, meeting up with them each year!

This year happened to be exceptionally hot...and at the tail end of our session, an elderly couple stopped us, as we chatted...I can only assume that they perceived in Carrie, the same thing everyone does...

she is real, personable, approachable and kind...

and so this older couple thought it pertinent to share their love of Gelato and let us all know where to find a sweet treat for the ending of their picture taking activity...

to which...they partook and made another worthwhile memory for their family to remember for years to come...

Theirs is a happy home...and I'm so thankful for their example!
