FAMILY SESSION: I don't envy a house of teenagers...

I post that title in jest...

We just had over 15 middle school students at our house last Sunday and a whole slew of them are coming again next Sunday...

YES, I do get nervous and a tad scared...

I get a little intimidated by mood swings and "am I cool?"...

However, we aren't too far off from having our OWN household of teenagers...

and I wonder what that will be like???

I remember the days of "just the two of us"...and then there was this "invasion" of littles...and they began to GROW...and neck-braking speeds it seemed...

Two are already in the tween/teen years with little sis not that far behind...

Therefore, I tend to watch families with older teens...

how do they do it? 

how do you keep the spark alive when the weight of the future is so close?

how do you balance ALL the activities and yet keep the hearts longing for home?

I would be remiss if I said that all I do is "take pictures"...

oh no...y'all are my lab rats!!!  I watch you like hawks and try to figure out your secrets...

I am constantly amazed at the way your patience, your family dynamics, your love for each other trumps everything else...

it is a powerful thing to see...
