SENIOR SESSION: Ben CO2020

This past week marked 24 years since my little sister went to see Jesus face to face...

back then, I was beginning my senior year in college...facing life changing decisions and treading the waters of grief...

it was then, that Ben's grandparents stepped in...as professors at the school, they opened their home (and their hearts to me)

their couch became a haven where I didn't have to talk or smile or pretend...they just surrounded me in love and compassion and space...

Fast forward allll these years later and "by chance" my daughter meets Ben, their grandson, and they become friends...which also included a whole slew of Cedarville folks...2nd and 3rd generations that are connected by the same faith...

it's kinda cool if you think about it :)

And so, when Ben's mom wondered about Senior pictures, I was all on board...

they not only traveled the distance but shared a sweet meal with us afterwards...which made us thankful again, not only for the value of our time at Cedarville, but for the ties that bind us together even through the years...

Ben makes me smile...

it's hard NOT to when you are around him...

It was fun collaborating with him on all his ideas and he was a trooper, even though he was exhausted from previous race running and activities that inevitably pile up last minute...

Ben, I'm glad to know you!  I am excited to see what you'll do in the future and the FUN that you create for all those around you!
