SENIOR SESSION: Chris, Class of 2019

Senior Sessions
Senior year, in and of itself, is a cacophony...
There is so much going on...students are listening to educators, college recruiters, parents, peers...cheering at events, performing in productions, announcements and deadlines, tests and applications...
the list and "noise" is endless...
It's a celebration, YES...but, with that sometimes comes a rather overloaded calendar of all.the.lasts. that need to be experienced to the fullest!!!
And so...
we get to Springtime and realize that Senior pictures have yet to be taken and there's only one month left until the cap and gown are donned and light at the end of the tunnel has arrived...
And that's where Chris found himself at the beginning of Winter...and so we grabbed the first gorgeous day we could in April...
----------
I don't believe Chris has ever had an enemy...
he's likable, friendly, easy-going and chill...
Being eager to laugh and not taking himself too seriously is probably what endeared me most to him...
I was impressed with not only his maturity, but his ability to listen and reason.
Some students have in their minds-eye what they envision for their futures...and they cling to it through all the noise and craziness of Senior year...it's a nerve wracking time to be making decisions that seemingly put you on the trajectory for your future independent life...
Something that gained my respect right off the bat was Chris's willingness to try something new, weigh his original idea and then, with confidence, choose a different path...
It was on a whim that he went on a college visit with a friend...with no thought of actually pursuing anything other than hanging out with a buddy...but, he didn't waste the opportunity put in front of him..and by the end of the visit, he had changed his entire course...
that takes guts, confidence, and courage!
It's evident that those qualities have been instilled in him over the years...to believe, to take chances, to step up to the plate, to be all in...
I think that's how he'll approach life in general...he sees the positive, and he doesn't let old thoughts or limitations stop his perseverance to reach his goals!
Congratulations Chris...thanks for being such a great sport and making my day!
