FAMILY SESSION: Let's Play at the Park

I had a loose "schedule" when my girls were little.

Each day we had some sort of "activity"...it could be Storytime at the library, or a trip to the zoo...the grocery store at least once, and perhaps a playdate with little friends...

more often than not, however, we took a day to go to a park...to swing on swings, do the slides, giggle & laugh and run around...

the innocent curiosity...the "no holds barred" expression of pure excitement to be free to explore...

I cherish those times when they fit on my lap...when they had to reach up to grab my hand...

When Melany explained that she wanted to document their family activity of going to the park, I was so thankful...

this type of session is more than just a documentation of "how tall" or toddler grins...

it's making a memory of a real life "plot" in their story...

It's not really that life goes by so fast...it's that we fool ourselves into thinking that we're going to remember all the little details and then we realize that because life is so full, we can't find room to store ALL the moments in our brain...

another reason why photography is such a wonderful & expressive tool...

These kiddos run with abandon...they squeeze & hug with all they've got in them...their squeals and laughter can be heard across the fields...

these are the details...these are the seemingly insignificant things that become precious to us...
