SENIOR SESSION: Zach CO2017

Senior photography is about celebrating a stage of life.  This entire year has been a set of milestones for the class of 2017...it's the last year with friends they grew up with, the last year at home (potentially), last year before the wings are spread and they are leaving the "nest". They are on the edge of an incredible journey..and they will never see the world the way they do right now..it all begins to change...

And so...

Senior photography for me isn't about just a pretty face, hair and makeup, perfect outfits and magazine covers...

rather...

it's about showcasing 18 years of LIFE well lived...it's putting on display the personality, the traits, the likes and dislikes...I think of it like a chapter in a story...so all the elements have to be there!

Zach has a strong work ethic and an entrepreneurial spirit...he's had this as long as I can remember him and I've watched him grow it and develop it into odd jobs and a team of workers...

He works with his hands and his ideas come to life...

Maybe they don't all come to fruition in the way he envisioned, but I've never seen him give up or back away from a challenge...he just figures it out...

He's easy going, no pretense with this kid...what you see, is what you get...

We decided the best way to showcase him, was in his own backyard, with all the elements...with his building equipment and an actual job on which he's working...

He moves these bolders and designs the structures...

It isn't without accident either...

Last fall, one of those beams fell and he ended up with bad cut and a concussion...you can barely see the scar over his eye...

He is fearless and never seems to lose hope...that optimism follow him in his every day and creeps out into that next door neighbor smile!

He does his parents proud!!!
