FAMILY SESSION: Having patience...

Fall is typically my "busy" time of year...

I expect that it will be that way again this time around, however, I wasn't expecting that Summer would give me a "run for my money"...

It's been a hectic one already and I've tried very hard to accommodate everyone who would want a summer session. However, it makes the editing timeline a bit tricky...

I had about 10 sessions scheduled in two weeks leading up to the day we left...and then we were gone for a week where wifi was slim and time to process images was nill...therefore, it put my line up at a standstill...

If you know me at all...

I DON'T LIKE STANDING STILL!!!

This family has been more than gracious, as have my other families that were/are waiting as well...

This is yet another reason why family photography is at the heart of what I do...

LIFE happens...there isn't always predictability...someone breaks a bone, a washing machine breaks, the grass keeps growing on the lawn, kids find out about more activities in which they need to be involved...and the list goes on...

I'm thankful for these moments...
they go quickly...

This family understands this and I see the thoughtful eyes of this mom...
her kids are grown and heading off to college in the fall...

and see her treasure these moments in her heart...
