SENIOR SESSION: Ciara (KEERah) CO2020

Her mom and I share the same first name...

and we're kinda Irish too :) 

I was thrilled to meet up with her again, this time with daughter number 2...

and it only took a little "luck o' the irish" with a wee rainbow at the end to confirm that there is a perfect time for everything...

The clouds started rolling in and the sky was getting dark...the wind was whipping hair, but I thought perhaps we could outrun it...

we jumped in our cars and headed south...

along the way, I called my husband and asked him to check the radar for me..."things are looking dark out here, but we're far from sunset..." 

...he replied, "it's not raining here, I think you'll be fine..."

Friends, it was in that same moment that the heavens opened and literally dumped on us...

not just a small sprinkling or mild downpour...nope...absolute windshield-wipers-at-highest-speed-can't-go-faster-than-25mph-because-you-can't-see-out-the-window RAIN...

What should have taken 10 minutes took double that just to safely arrive at our location and then we hunkered down in our cars praying that it would all pass over quickly...

and as "luck" would have it...

the clouds dispersed, the birds came back out and a beautiful rainbow lit up the after-storm sky...

And I'm fairly confident that Ciara, nor her mom, bestie or I will soon forget this memory...this celebration...this moment in time that only comes once...

It was a "perfect" ending...Ciara has weathered her own storms in life and has come out shining even more brightly than before...she's courageous and determined...she's tender-hearted, but with a bunch of spunk...she is the type of person that leaves you feeling better than before she showed up! 

Congratulations Ciara on a fabulous senior year...you are an absolute delight and the beautiful treasure at the end of the rainbow!!!
