FAMILY SESSION: They are now Royalty

I mentioned before, my false idea, that life would slow down once my girls got older.

When they were younger, I was physically exhausted...my days consisted of baths, playtimes, storytimes, grocery shopping, naps, cooking, cleaning, reading books, playing princess, learning letters/numbers...it was CONSTANT.

I loved being a SAHM, and at the same time, I only received brief reprieves from the daily ins and outs, ups and downs, diaper changings, feedings...perhaps that was cause to not living overly close to both sets of parents, but at the same time I relished in my role as Mommy..all the while thinking, "Surely, as they get older, things will get easier"...

And whilst that is true in the physical sense of it all...

I don't carry my youngsters on my hip or push them in strollers...my nights aren't not filled with nursing or cries...my daughters are capable of helping with household chores and one even drives to take care of errands here and there...

however, it does not "feel" as though things have slowed down...

if anything...the years got shorter...and all of a sudden, the days didn't feel as long as they perhaps once did...

Calendars fill up almost instantaneously...family dinners must be planned intentionally and not taken for granted...independence is just around the corner and our family dynamics are shifting to the new course set before us...

Therefore, when families, with older children, MAKE time to capture and document this chapter of life, you KNOW there is value there...

Lauren is already a Senior...and Homecoming Queen at that!

As you can well imagine, her plate is full...as is her younger brother's...not to mention parents that are juggling those schedules along with their own and realizing that soon their daughter will be leaving the nest...

Celebrations, especially the one that took place when she was crowded on that football field, are moments that will be forever recorded and remembered...

Their "story" continues to be told...and they valued this season so much so that they made the time to come together to put their fingerprints...their signatures...to the family chapter!

It is a pleasure and honor to serve families such as these...
