FAMILY SESSION: All BOY(s)

It takes some planning, time, energy and motivation to get children ready to go anywhere...let alone FAMILY PICTURES...

I understand this...we've been programmed to "cheese" for cameras and that makes our cheeks sore and our attitudes worse...especially for kiddos that would prefer wrestling, playing ball or eating snacks 100% over posing for a camera...

Picture time, though, when viewed in a different perspective, need not be a drudgery...

I'd rather look at it as a time to laugh, to tickle, for tree climbing and leaf throwing...for piggy back rides and Daddy throws...for Mommy cuddles and did I mention laughing?

Because honestly, the heart of a STORY is in the FEELING that it produces...if LIFE is happening, if joy abounds, if relationships are TRUE...

What you see from a snapped picture is the natural outcome of what is already there...

there is no pretense with this family...

you see those hugs, those smiles, those smirks???

...that's the real deal folks...

These kiddos are maturing into pretty amazing young men...with confidence, kindness, respect and genuine compassion...

They've got a Dad and Mom that model those characteristics day in and day out...

And so...when they look back on pictures...not only do memories surface, but the reassurance that a legacy is being produced... a story to be told for generations to come...
