FAMILY SESSION: impressive

My baby sister is nearly 12 years younger than me...

this actually puts us in different "generations"...where I'm a Gen Xer, she's a Millennial...

I know I've mentioned before how everytime a child is added to a family, the family "changes"...and therefore, it becomes a different "norm" than what was before...

this is NOT a bad thing at all...

I'm so grateful for having very much younger sisters while growing up...I learned much from the experience and it continues to allow me different perspectives as we are all still journeying through life...

At the same time, while I was leaving for college, she was just starting out her elementary school career...I missed much of her growing up years...and so, I look back on those first 5-6 years while I was home, dressing her up, taking pictures, carrying her around, playing "house" with her...these are the memories that I hold close...

This family has a similar age spread...Big brother will be a senior next year and it's a sweet thing to watch his baby sister just adore him...

I promise that they won't forget these precious times together...

There was nothing but kindness and looking out for one another when I was with them...

I've been there, with little sisters underfoot...it can get frustrating at times...but these older siblings were patient and thoughtful...they looked for opportunities to make the experience FUN for her, rather than trying to get her to do what they wanted...
