I'm a teacher at heart...

I've always been extroverted, but as I've gotten older, I've come to value more of the one on one aspects of relationships rather than large group settings...

Intimate gatherings where hearts are shared are more up my alley nowadays...

perhaps it's because I have my own daughters, who each have their own set of goals & expectations...and putting all of us under one roof...well...let's just say that that is a LOT of "girl stuff" goin' on for one household...the emotional drama and depth of feeling can leave us all feeling overwhelmed sometimes...and we just need a listening ear...

I love capturing moments in the lives of families...I love being a photojournalist or "documenting life" through pictures...

not just for the incredible people that I meet, but for my own family as well...

And let's be honest...I'm not WITH your family 24/7...I don't see all the cute little faces or dance moves...I don't see all the tears and pretty pictures drawn on paper...

I see those things in MY home, but YOU are the one in YOUR home...YOU, alone, have the opportunity to "document life" for your kids...for future generations...for the sake of memories...

and because I place such high value on that, I want to help you achieve that goal...

I offer Snapshops 3-4 times a year in my home (or I do travel to nearby states) I also offer one on one mentoring as well.

The purpose of these is to explore not only storytelling techniques and capturing your family...but, on understanding the technical aspects that all "big girl cameras" share...things like aperture, shutterspeed and ISO...

I also know, again, as a former teacher, that everyone not only approaches learning from a different way, but everyone is at a different point in their journey...

therefore, I've started a new tab in that linkbar above...specifically for furthering your knowledge of picture taking and technical issues...Those that are a part of my Snapshop Grads participate in an online private facebook group...we talk about little things that pop up about photography in our own homes, but also on vacation or things that just didn't quite sink in during a workshop...

I take the opportunity to vlog or blog there on Facebook and on the site you see below:

so, if you ever get to the point where you want to take that learning just a tad farther...be sure to check it out and sign up for a Snapshop or Mentoring session as well...you won't be sorry!
