FAMILY SESSION: Growing Up Fast

To be quite honest, I don't remember the moment of our exact meeting...

as in, the FIRST time I met them...

it must have been when our daughters (my middle one) met in elementary school...

I'm not exactly sure...but, I think we knew at that moment that we had a pull toward friendship...

oh we are complete opposites, do not be mistaken...

where I'm sporadic and disheveled...the Mama in this family is organized and scheduled...

where I'm a tad emotional and lack courage from time to time...she's confident and determined...

perhaps that's what it is...

I have such admiration for her...I love the differences...it makes the friendship all the more fun...

she's gracious with my crazy and I'd like to think I make her smile with my wackiness!

It seems like a lifetime ago...when we first met...I think we both can agree that life seems to go by quickly...

our kids are growing up...

FAST...

and we have these wonderful front row seats from which to watch and cheer...

to ask advice and shoulder each other's burdens...

to smile and laugh...to commiserate and shed a few tears as we realize that they'll be heading off to the independence towards which we've trained them... 

This parenting thing is no joke...but I'm thankful for the friends that help along the way...
