FAMILY SESSION: Color Pop

Does anyone else see and hear things in "colors"?

For example, when I hear a slow, classical song, I see blues and lavenders....

If it's upbeat and loud, I see red or orange...

I do it with the alphabet too...each letter conjures a different "color" for me...

A is blue, B is yellow...H is pink, P is green...

I don't suppose there is a rhyme or reason to it...but for me, colors emote feeling...or maybe it's the other way around...

Whatever it is, I could just be crazy (and passed down that crazy to my girls because they "see" things this way too)...or maybe someone can relate??? 

When I saw this energetic family of 4 walking my way, my "feeling" was HAPPY...and not just because I know them...but their outfit color choices bombarded me with all sorts of emotion...

Blues are peaceful and strong to me, while the splashes of yellow throw in laughter and energy...pinks feel feminine and confident...and then ending with sage green...greens always feel secure and safe...

The four of them headed my way with their curly haired girls, twirling in their dresses...

confident and girly, it's evident that they feel safe to be themselves with mom & dad...and with that comes the freedom to grow and be all that they can be!!

It was a perfect combination of color and personality for their family session...this authentic family of four!  I'm so glad that I get to call them neighbors as well!!!  

It's a beautiful start to summer!!!
