FULL FAMILY SESSION: It's Raining, It's Pouring...

I live in Ohio and I'm parent of 3 daughters...

Just those two facts alone often wreak havoc on my schedule...

First, living in the midwest, we all know we can't trust the forecast very often.  It's not the meteorologist's fault, it's just that for some reason, around here, weather just has a mind of it's own and sometimes it doesn't consider my photography needs...

Secondly, with 3 daughters...I am at the mercy of their health and school function calendars...let's just be honest...It's not like I have control over these things at all...

Let's throw in a husband that sometimes needs to travel and good heavens, I can be sent into a tizzy trying to keep my calendar somewhat legible...

I'm incredibly THANKFUL for flexible and understanding clients who know that I'm a MOM/WIFE first and foremost...clients who expect great things, but also give grace when everything seems to throw down at once...

This is poignant for this blog post because that's just ME, just one family...when you are talking a FULL family session, we've got schedules all over the place, not to mention time sensitive needs with regards to travel and family plans for the short amount of time that everyone is together...

I am in AWE of these families that not only manage to pull it all together, but also, give me grace when Ohio weather decides to POUR on us, during our only moment of opportunity for a photo shoot!

We had our umbrellas out, trying to keep hair from getting frazzled and clothes from getting speckled with rain drops...and they laughed and smiled through the whole thing!

It was the day after the last day of school and you can imagine that these kiddos were ready for a break, but they showed up with beaming faces and were the most compliant, flexible kiddos you ever did see!

Here's a little "sprinkling" of their photo shoot (like what I did there?)
