FAMILY SESSION: Little brother is getting big

They say the biggest changes happen in the first year and I have to agree.

I almost didn't recognize him when I walked over to their vehicle to say hi...The last time I saw him, he was only a couple weeks old.

He now keeps those baby blues open wide and his teeth are poking through giving him the sweetest little grin.

These kiddos can't help but be adorable and gorgeous when you take a look at their parents :)

But more than that, they are kind, they are gentle, they are good...

Yes, there is always going to be the pushing of buttons and testing of limits...it's what children do...it's how the parents guide them in that testing, helping them recognize that at their young age, learning obedience and kindness will take them so, so much farther than even their peers in the future...

It's amazing the confidence that is built in security, when you know the boundaries...when you know you have parents that care so much that they are even willing to risk your present "unhappiness" for your future success...

Preschool and toddler years can be some of the most trying of patience and the fact that you are forced to be consistent is exhausting...but, oh the benefits in the long run...

I can foresee this sweet big sister having long talks with a momma that she trusts has her best interest in mind...this little boy watching daddy and wanting to be just like him when he grows up...

I admire this family very much and I'm always thrilled to meet up with them for photos.  I am encouraged by the way they parent, how they interact with their kids, their expectations and the love they pour into each other and them...

You can't help but smile when you see them...
