SENIOR SESSION: Izzie

I know that we all tend to be pulled toward people that are like-minded...we feel most comfortable with people that are just like us...that perhaps dress similarly, or have similar athleticism or musical desires...We all have our comfort zones...they often make us feel confident and like we "belong" because we are "the same"...

I would gather that although we all have a spectrum of personality and likes & dislikes, there are often polar traits within us...and for the most part, we lean heavily to one side than the other...

After birthing 3 daughters who are so unbelievably different from one another, I became more aware of all the differences that form, even in one family...

Of course, as a mom, I look for similarities...ways that they are "like me"...but, what I find most intriguing...most comforting, are the ways that they are individuals...the ways they are different...

Izzie is the eldest of 3 girls...and she holds her own...she's got a sweet, gentle feminine side and she's got a confident, "knock 'em down on the field" competitive side...

and what is so, so impressive, is that she marries the two together into this beautiful, strong, young woman...

she has a fierceness about her...she leaves it all on the field...and yet, hanging right there in the breath around her is a softness, with a gentle smile that makes her approachable...

She, her mom and I had such a lovely time chatting and walking around town...looking for ways to showcase Izzie's whole personality...she's beautiful and bold, yet reserved...it's fascinating to see the intricate and complex ways we are all created...

Congrats Izzie...this year is going to be fantastic!
