HELLO FRIENDS!!!
HAPPY NEW YEAR...
a couple weeks late...
Yes, I do apologize for the lateness in my well-wishes...
for as busy as my fall time gets with family sessions, senior portraits, holiday cards, school parties and all the other festivities that are present during that time of year, it's often January when I go into that "chariots of fire" mode...
I'm still running, but it feels bit more like "slow motion"...
Oh my, I have so many good things in store for this year, both professionally & personally...
I hope you'll stay tuned for updates on:
2017 pricing (I've got some info you'll want to be aware of for fall)
Email Subscriptions to CT PhotoMemories for PRIZES
Tips on how to use your Session images
a "how-to" blog for taking pictures indoor during the winter
"tell the story" of your vacation
and lots more...
Until then however, I thought I'd give you a little update on "yours truly"...
Here's the "bullet list"
*I've had to go to dentist multiple times already this year to attempt to fix a front chipped tooth. As a ridiculous 17 year old, I thought it prudent to bite into a key chain in order to change off a charm. This was a stupid move and I now pay for it (literally) every 2 years or so, when the filling falls out and we have to cut away more of my tooth to try to get it to stick...thus making my front tooth stick out like a...well, a new years resolution for me is not to be vain!
*I went to see the movie Hidden Figures and I cried. I want my daughters to see it...it's fabulous! I may have hated and cried and had many sleepless nights over my math classes, but OH my goodness these ladies were brilliant and it gave me hope!
*I love all things PBS...if you haven't checked out www.simplyjune.org yet, seriously, you need to...I know you may have Netflix or DVRs or what have you, but oh my goodness, I don't even LIKE TV, but I am hooked on PBS shows...2 years ago I finished all of Downton Abbey, and I loved Call the MidWife too! The new Crown series, along with Victoria has me mesmorized. My most recent adventure has been the Sherlock series, although I do find myself fast-forwarding to the end because I can't handle the suspense...and that's just how it is! Poldark is not for the younger audience, but he reminded me of Jim Caviezel in the Count of Monte Cristo. And if you need just a quaint little number, only 3 episodes, you'll enjoy Doctor Thorne
*I'm back to running 2-3 miles a day if feasible...and then I scarf down a tub of cottage cheese or Kreme peanut butter and apples to satiate my crazy appetite, which isn't helping the "lose the 10 lbs from Christmas thing", but oh well...there's always summer...
*If you haven't discovered the OverDrive app on your phone, please do yourself a wonderful treat and download it! The girls and I have been listening to audiobooks since they were tiny, but ever since we discovered this app about 3 years ago, we listen this way instead of the old CD player! Currently, between the 4 of us, we've downloaded the entire Penderwick Series, Selection Series, Dear America, Trumpet of the Swan, the Ruby Red series and numerous stand alones that I've been listening to without younger ears attending.
p.s. taking a poll: thinking about cutting my hair (as in a good 6-7 inches off) Yay or Nay say you?
