SENIOR SESSION: Grace 2020

My October calendar goes out tomorrow....

Can I just be real and honest here? 

My anxiety is already so high...

Why is that Colleen?  What is your problem?  Isn't it a good problem to have, to have so many people wanting time slots?

YES...and I "get" that...

BUT...

You see, it's not really about the "job"...it's not about a perfect picture...it's not about a number...

it's about STORIES...

Stories that beg to be told...and people that I want to LOVE ON...

Family and Senior sessions aren't just about taking pictures...they are about talking, laughing, making memories, sharing life, cherishing moments, capturing a CHAPTER in a LIFE!

I've had this business for nearly 10 years and in that span, I've met so, so, so many people in this area where we call home...people with whom I, my husband and my daughters rub shoulders...people that impact me with their words, their kind hearts and their inspiring hopes & dreams for the future...

In my heart of hearts, I wish I could serve all of them because I don't like missing out on a GOOD STORY!!!

BUT LIFE

My OWN story has unique twists and turns and commitments and characters that are developing and maturing and leaving the nest soon...and with that comes time restraints and challenges, along with the highs and amazing moments too...

And so...I'm trying to reconcile my desire to serve with my reality of time...

Grace was yet another Senior that I was privileged to meet and serve...she's tender and gentle...she's happy and joyful...she's natural and content...

Time spent with her made me take a breath...made me reflect on being THANKFUL for what I have rather than what I think I want or what I can't have right now...

Grace did this by just being herself...

I think sometimes we don't even realize the impact we have on people by just allowing ourselves to SHINE with who we were made to be...

Grace...you live up to your name in soooo many ways...
